How to Swap Tokens on BreadSwap

Trading tokens on BreadSwap is fast, decentralized, and requires no registration or account creation. Follow this guide to execute your first token swap.

Prerequisites​

  • A Web3 wallet installed (e.g., MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, WalletConnect or Rabby).
  • Native network tokens to cover blockchain gas fees.

Step-by-Step Guide​

Step 1: Connect Your Wallet​

  1. Visit the official BreadSwap App.
  2. Click Connect Wallet in the top right corner.
  3. Select your wallet provider and approve the connection request in your wallet popup.

Step 2: Select Your Trading Pair​

  1. Navigate to the Swap tab.
  2. In the "You Pay" field, select the token you wish to spend (e.g., $WWHEAT).
  3. In the "You Receive" field, select the target token you wish to buy (e.g., $BREAD).

Step 3: Enter Amount & Review Rate​

  1. Type the amount of tokens you want to swap.
  2. Review the estimated output amount, price impact, and transaction route.

Step 4: Approve & Swap​

  1. If trading an ERC-20 token for the first time, click Approve and confirm the allowance transaction in your wallet.
  2. Once approved, click Swap.
  3. Confirm the details in the modal and click Confirm Swap.
  4. Approve the final transaction in your Web3 wallet.

Tip: You can adjust your Slippage Tolerance and Transaction Deadline in the Settings icon (⚙️) on the top right of the swap card.
